Cornwall Photographic Alliance



Welcome to the web site of the Cornwall Photographic Alliance

Affiliated to the Western Counties Photographic Federation, membership of the Alliance is open to Photography Groups and Camera Clubs throughout Cornwall.
The Alliance organises a full programme of talks and displays of interest to photographers using either film or digital cameras as well as several competitions open only to member clubs.





  • Charles Hosken Competition

    A record entry and a great turn out for the showing of the Charles Hosken images this year.


  • Club News

    Several Member Clubs have events and workshops open to all. Please check the "Member Clubs" Page. If your club has something exciting to offer, do let everyone know, through this website.


  • Committee Meeting

    The AGM will be held on Thursday 12 July, at 7.30pm. 


  • St Agnes Photographic Club

    A warm welcome to members of the St Agnes Photographic Club. The St Agnes Club club started almost a decade ago and offers a friendly welcome to photographers of all abilities. Monthly meetings are held at the WI hall in St Agnes.


  • Bristol International Salon

    Congratulations to those photographers who had images accepted for the Bristol Salon. Disappointing attendance at the Truro showing but a good evening nevertheless. Displayed image: Orange Slices, George Collings, St Austell Camera Club.


  • Annual Competition

    Judging has taken place so come along to see the results of the 2012 Annual Competition at Truro College on Tuesday 22 May. From 7pm. Admission £2.50 at the door.

Celtic Challenge 2011

The 2011 Celtic Challenge Competition took place at Holywood, County Down on Saturday 24 Septemeber. Judging was by Leigh Preston FRPS, MPAGB, EFIAP (Midland Counties). Seven Celtic regions competed with the Scottish Photographic Federation taking first place and Cornwall in 6th place. The Cornwall entries were by Heather Bodle, John Davey, Malcolm Bishop, Bill Hunt, Margaret Hocking, Peter Batson, John Evans Jones, Victor Tullin, Bryan Crick, Matt Seabrook, Andrew ray,Thelma Hope, Paul McCullagh, Adrian Langdon, Giles Wilson and Andy Brown. Image shown is "In repair", by Giles Wilson, which scored maximum points in the Colour print section.
